More Super Eagles Players Arrive In Uyo For Libya Clash

On Tuesday, several players arrived at the Super Eagles of Nigeria camp in Uyo, ahead of their upcoming match against the Mediterranean Knights of Libya.​


Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, Victor Boniface, and Samuel Chukwueze were among the early arrivals at the national team camp.

Joining them were Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, Frank Onyeka, Raphael Onyedika, and Benjamin Tanimu, who reported to the team’s base at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel in the early hours of today, October 8.

The Super Eagles welcomed the early arrivals, with goalkeepers Stanley Nwabali and Amas Obasogie setting the tone by arriving on Monday.

With nine out of the 23 invited players now in camp, the team is eagerly anticipating the arrival of the remaining squad members later today.

The first training session, scheduled for 5pm at the practice pitch of the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, is poised to set the tone for the team’s preparations.

Note that the session will be open to both media coverage and public attendance, allowing fans and journalists to witness the team’s preparations firsthand.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will host Libya for the first leg of the 2025 AFCON qualifiers in Uyo at 5 p.m. on Friday, October 11. Four days later, they will be in Libya for the return leg which will kick off at 8 p.m. on Tuesday.
