Nollywood actor Yul Edochie, who recently launched his online ministry, has raised eyebrows with a recent post discussing those referred to as ‘Ogbanje’
Naija News understands that the term ‘Ogbanje’, in Nigerian culture, is often used to describe individuals believed to have supernatural ties.
On October 16, 2024, Edochie shared his thoughts on Instagram, explaining that many of the people labelled as ‘Ogbanje’ possess unique spiritual gifts.
According to Edochie, these individuals often struggle because they avoid embracing their true purpose.
“Many people we call ‘Ogbanje’ are people who are spiritually gifted. And the essence of having such spiritual gift is to use it to help humanity. But because of ignorance, religion & the fear of what people will say, they keep trying to run away from who they are and by doing so their lives become messed up. Dig deep, find your true self and embrace it and you’ll realize the essence of your existence and live a fulfilled life,” he wrote.
This post sparked a range of reactions from fans and followers, with some questioning how it aligns with his recently established ministry, True Salvation Ministry, which he launched in January 2024.
Recall that on January 23, 2024, Edochie publicly announced his ministry through social media, inviting his fans to participate in online gatherings. He shared a flyer on Instagram detailing the mission and services of his True Salvation Ministry.
